Story
Hi, my names Hollie and I’m going to be running the London Marathon 2024 in memory of my good friend Jenna. Those that know me know that I don’t run so this is a challenge for me that I’m very much looking forward to completing!
I’ve chosen to run for the charity Sarcoma UK as it’s a charity that Jenna supported before her passing and a charity her family and friends continue to support. Jenna sadly lost her battle to Sarcoma Cancer a few months after her 21st Birthday which is no age to leave your friends and family behind. Jenna’s smile and caring nature is something I remember the most about her, there was never a day Jenna wasn’t smiling and even going through treatment she had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. The efforts Jenna’s family and friends have gone through to keep Jenna’s memory alive with all the fundraising and charity events everyone has taken part in is amazing and they have all raised a tremendous amount already!
Keeping Jenna’s memory alive is something I also would like to do in my own way and that’s why I’ve chosen to run the marathon. I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible to support this amazing charity and to help them keep doing the work needed to treat future cancer patients.
I appreciate any donations big or small and thank you for visiting my page!
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Thank you for your support.
