2023 Inclusion Matters Run, Walk & Roll · 17 September 2023 ·
Hi friends!
Please help me create a bias-free world for children with disabilities by supporting my commitment to Inclusion Matters by Shane's Inspiration.
One of the many wonderful things this organization does is to help build playgrounds where kids of all abilities can play side-by-side.
To support their important work I'm participating in the Run, Walk, & Roll on September 17th and I'm hoping you'll make a donation.
This event is open to all and is the perfect example of the kind of work Inclusion Matters does. This event blends people at all levels of mobility for a 4k fun walk, run, or roll through a portion of Griffith Park.
Please help continue this work by donating to my page or becoming a participant and join my team by clicking on the link at the top of the page under the "Kat's Giving Page" section.
For folks with corporate matching, please make sure to apply - it makes a HUGE difference in our overall fundraising efforts. Thanks so much!
With MUCH appreciation,
Kat
If you'd like, you can read more about Inclusion Matters here:
It began with one very simple idea. Children with disabilities deserve to play, too.
In 2000, we cut the ribbon on our very first playground in Los Angeles, making that idea a reality for our families.
Today, Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration has grown to a powerful network of 75 inclusive, sensory- and literacy-rich playgrounds throughout the world. We have playgrounds in Mexico, Israel, Canada, Ecuador, Russia and throughout the US. There are another 50 in development nationally, including in Argentina, South Africa, Armenia, the Dominican Republic and more.
Our education and community outreach programs transform these playgrounds into classrooms where children with and without disabilities learn to see beyond their differences. These programs eliminate the damaging bias and social isolation that many children with disabilities face, and have reached over 45,000 students in more than 250 schools.
Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration also inspires and empowers teachers to make their school communities more inclusive through our professional development trainings. Our curriculum has been distributed in 65 countries.
Our vision is to foster a bias-free world for children with disabilities. Our mission is to create inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that unite children of all abilities.
