Event: Ride the Island Challenge, from 21 April 2023 to 24 April 2023
Our challenge takes you round the lovely island of Ibiza, with spectacular sea views, beautiful beaches and idyllic hillside towns. Cycling 140km or 200 km over two days to raise money for SameYou

Story

On 4th April 2022, the first weekend of lockdown, I did a Joe Wicks workout and then got on our brand new Peloton and had a SAH and stroke. A "twofor" as my consultant called it!

The amazing NHS saved my life, but the only help I got on leaving intensive care was SameYou.

Irrespective of Covid, there just isn't enough post brain injury care, something that SameYou wants to put right. One in three of us will suffer from an ABI through disease, stroke, hemorrhage, or accident, but often keep quiet as we don't want to be judged.

The money we hope to raise will start the journey to delivering the Emilia Clarke Centre in association with University College, a world-class facility to promote post-injury recovery.

I've never really been into cycling and having done a "Mr Big" this is a bit of a challenge.  Your kindness and generosity will make a big difference.

With love and gratitude.
