Story

As an avid Harlequins fan and season ticket holder, I am very proud to have been selected by Harlequins to represent the club and its charitable foundation at the 2018 Cabbage Patch 10 race, which is an iconic local run in the rugby heartlands of Twickenham.

Less than two years ago, I could hardly manage a 1 km lap of the outside of Twickenham Stadium, but now look forward to running a 10 mile race for such a great cause. Whilst regular running has made significant improvements to my health and outlook on life, the Harlequins Foundation uses sport and its ability to engage people to make far greater improvements to the lives of those it supports.

The Harlequins Foundation, established in 2015 continues this unique spirit of Harlequins, by using the power of sport to drive positive change.

Our Vision: A world where the power of sport is used to drive positive change.

Our Mission: To use the Harlequin family and brand to inspire, educate and equip individuals and communities at home and around the world to change their lives and fulfill their potential.

The Harlequins Foundation is seizing the opportunity to confront challenges most prevalent in our society;

Men's health - Focusing on the mental wellbeing of young men, suicide awareness and prevention and cancers that affect the male population.

Women's participation - Expanding our work on increasing participation in sport and developing the next generation of female leaders in rugby.

Premiership Rugby programmes continuing our ongoing delivery of PRL programmes which target under-represented groups within the rugby world; Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, young people in disadvantaged communities and those with disabilities.

As a charity we are dependent on the donations from the public to be able to continue our work - your donations will ensure we achive our goal of supporting 1 million people by 2023.
