Twenty years ago, two adoptees had a simple but radical idea: that children growing up in foster care deserved the same joyful childhood experiences they had been given.

Darryl "DMC" McDaniels and Sheila Jaffe founded The Felix Organization in 2006 with a mission to provide inspiring opportunities and new experiences to youth in the foster care system. What began as one summer camp in Putnam Valley has grown into six camps, year-round programs, and more than 20,000 (is that right?) children served.
