First Tee Greater Baltimore is a youth development non-profit organization focused on providing opportunities to the youth of Baltimore through the game of golf.

Story

First Tee-Greater Baltimore is a character education program aimed at helping change the trajectory of greater Baltimore youth. The foundation we have built in the communities we serve, is strong. With the help of our Learning Centers at Clifton Park and Forest Park Golf Courses our coaches have been able to introduce youth to the game of golf, and present National and scholarship opportunities to our students, early on. Through these spaces, we have been able to facilitate a practice ground for personal growth for our students that allows them to build character and better navigate the ongoing challenges of todays world.

In the past year:

-We reached 500 youth through our green grass locations in Baltimore City.

-Our student Kendall Opheikens was awarded an Evans Scholarship and is now attending the University of Maryland, College Park this fall.

-Our student Malachi has received a full scholarship to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He has been accepted into the PGA Program and is competing on the schools golf team this fall.

-We have grown our #GirlsGolf program to 30 girls.

-We hosted our first ever six-week overnight Leadership and Caddie Academy where students lived in the dorms at McDonogh School, learned how to caddie, attended field trips and received academic support.
