Well, I'm wrapping up my 63rd trip around the sun this week! I'll be celebrating my 63rd birthday on April 29, and I will have already lived 63 years - Bring it on, 64! So... I want to celebrate, and celebrate big! I'm gonna need your help for that! :)

For almost a third of my life, I have been supporting Bert's Big Adventure in one way or another. From way deep in the behind-the-scenes activities where hardly anyone knew my name, to being fully involved in office support, hospital visits, organizing character volunteers for events, and hosting personal fundraisers like this one, to being a founding Board Member. And gosh, what an honor it has been to have helped bring smiles to the faces of so many kiddos and families over the years! I am so grateful for all of the beautiful experiences with them, and with the wonderful staff that truly makes the magic happen!

One thing that is not common knowledge about Bert's Big Adventure, is that their office did not escape the big freeze around Christmas. The offices above theirs had pipes burst, flooding the Bert's Big Adventure office. By the time that anyone knew about the flooding, so much of the office furniture and contents were damaged and only about 20% of it was salvageable. To make it a little tougher to accept was the fact that they had only been in this office space for about 6 months or so. The office space has been rebuilt, and they've moved back in, but their environment is nothing close to what they had. I'd like to take this opportunity to raise some funds to get their space refurbished so that can be back in their creative space full time. Could you help?

My goal is a lofty one, and honestly, it's probably more than they need to refurbish the office. Any leftover funds will go directly to the funding for the upcoming Summer Reunion that is scheduled for July.
