Help send our Destination Imagination teams to Globals in Kansas City!
Destination Imagination is a project based, student-driven program that teaches kids to be innovative problem solvers. Using STEAM, teams of students collaborate, think outside the box, and create unique solutions to one of seven different challenges in preparation for a fun, problem-solving competition. In 22-23, GCS brought Destination Imagination to the Middle School with two teams. Both teams placed first in the state in their challenges and went to Global Finals in May 2023.
Fast forward to the 23-24 school year, and DI at GCS has expanded to three teams in the Middle School, two teams in the Lower School, and a Primary Building Rising Stars team! After successful runs at the Regional and Maryland State competitions, all three Middle School teams and one of the Lower School team qualified to attend Globals! The expense to send our teams is significant, and we need your help to make it possible.
The DI program is incredibly unique in giving students the opportunity to see they are capable of solving complex problems and managing large and complicated tasks as a team. We are so proud of our DI Dragons; let's make sure they can show off all they have learned and achieved in front of a Global audience!
