Following a tradition that has spanned over 15 years, the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) is fulfilling holiday wishes and providing basic necessities to vulnerable families within our student population.

Unfortunately, there are students at Fanshawe who can't go home for the holidays or are having difficulty making ends meet at this time of year.

The FSU Adopt-A-Student Family program provides an avenue for alumni, friends, family and staff to help those who need it most within our student population.

Last year, we raised $2,000 and were able to adopt 5 families within the Fanshawe College student population.

You can help support the success of the FSU Adopt-A-Student Family program by donating between November 18, 2022 and December 2, 2022. Funds received from this program will be used to purchase basic necessities, food items and various other items such as winter clothing, childrens clothes, books and toys. FSU Catering Services will also provide a hot meal to the student families that are selected.

Up to 5 (five) student families will benefit from this campaign. Together we can make the holidays special for our student families in need.

Eligible students and/or student families must be registered at The Sharing Shop https://www.fsu.ca/the-sharing-shop and are chosen by the FSU. Donated funds will be allocated toward basic necessities, food items and various other items such as winter clothing, childrens clothes, books and toys. FSU Catering Services will also provide a hot meal to the student families that are selected.
