The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

Story

To celebrate the formation of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise and the 60th Anniversary of the Polaris Sales Agreement, the HMS Oardacious Team are hosting the inaugural DNE Fundraising Challenge. The challenge is for a team of four to row 60Km on a rowing machine as quickly as possible whilst raising as much money as you can for HMS Oardacious, HELP-Jim’s Story and The Submarine Family under the RNRMC umbrella.

If this wasn’t challenge enough, Director General Nuclear will be leading a pan Whitehall “National Endeavour” team in a 24 hour rowing relay in MoD Whitehall.

All money raised will be spilt between three RNRMC funds, funds which form the baseline of the DNE’s new charitable activity. HMS Oardacious raises money to fund Mental Health and Resilience initiatives for Submariners (Past and Present) and their families whilst HELP-Jim’s Story raises money for Suicide Awareness initiatives and Reflection Benches. The Submarine Family is a newly formed Umbrella Fund which works across Royal Navy Charities to cohere the support to the Submarine Service and their families.

Please give generously and if you want to get involved, keep an eye on your internal comms messages for more details.
