The Litigation Sections Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP)
The Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP) provides opportunities to students who are members of racial and ethnic groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the profession, students with disabilities, students who are economically disadvantaged, women, veterans, and LGBTI+ students. For the past 22 years, JIOP has been promoting quality in legal education, equal access to justice, a better understanding of the law, and improvements in our justice system.
I really enjoyed my time in the courts - this was an amazing experience to get out of my comfort zone and learn about a new area of litigation. I learned so much information and I cannot wait to build on this knowledge in my career. - Cayla Brown, JIOP 2022, Boston College
In 2022, 186 students from 79 law schools interned with 137 judges across the country.
