Next summer, both of SJC Brooklyn's chapels will receive a much-needed refresh and upgrade. In honor of the sisters who taught at the College, and in accord with their mission, these two sacred spaces will gain seating that makes them truly accessible to all and adaptable for a variety of religious activities.

Additionally, Sister Marie Mackey, CSJ, Director of Campus Ministry, has identified a number of items that are needed or desired for the Brooklyn chapels. One item, an electric candle bank, is meaningful because it will invite anyone in the College community to light a candle for a loved one or a special intention. When we reveal the chapel renovations next year, we will light a candle for the special intentions of those who donate $100 or more to this community-building fundraising effort. The candle will be lit on the day of the 2022 Memorial Mass, and will stay lit for one month. Please make your gift of $100 today for Giving Tuesday.
