At CSUCI, we know that 4% of our students regularly face the harsh reality that they do not have a permanent place to call home. Some spend their evenings couch surfing, some sleep in their cars and some do the best they can with whatever resources they have.

At CSUCI, we believe that in order to achieve your academic goals it is important that you basic needs like food, clothing, shelter are met which is why we created the Emergency Housing Program.

This program provides students who are facing homelessness with up to 28 nights of housing at a local hotel. During that time, the team works with them to find a more permanent solution. These nights allow them to have a warm, safe place to sleep while they focus on their studies.

Since July 0f 2021, the Emergency Housing Program has assisted 30 students with housing totaling $33,000. We know that there are other students who are in need of this great program so that is why the Class of 2022 has chosen to support the Emergency Housing Program with the funds raised from their class gift.

With the support of graduating Dolphins, we can continue to meet critical needs of our students so future Dolphins can achieve their dream of earning a degree just like you have done.
