Story
Glockenspiels are used for Lower School music classes to help students learn rhythm and basic music theory. They are also really fun to play! Students start using glockenspiels in pre-kindergarten music class and continue to use them until they reach fourth and fifth grade, when they can participate in Orff Ensemble. Orff Ensemble consists of glockenspiels and other pitched percussion instruments such as metallophones and xylophones, and performs each spring at the Grandparents and Friends Day Concert. This project will allow our Lower School music department to purchase 13 new glockenspiels for student use.
