In the nine seconds it takes you to read this paragraph another woman will fall victim to domestic violence at the hands of her abuser.
Angie came to the the YWCA's confidential, emergency shelter to escape a particularly violent relationship. Safe in shelter, she began to slowly rebuild her life with the help of caring staff. After several months, Angie was strong enough to take control of her life. She found housing, and was able to secure work as a personal care attendant. Angie was no longer trapped in an abusive relationship and she was living life on her own terms.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds more women like Angie throughout Central Massachusetts who need your help to find safety and independence. When you start a fundraiser in support of the YWCA's DVAM 31 Day Challenge and/or support someone who has, YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
