At the Greenway, we believe that by focusing on outdoor recreation, education and environmental stewardship, we can enrich the lives of all who visit and contribute to the community we are proud to call home. We are inspired by Anne Springs Close's vision for this Greenway, and she was incredibly proud to know that this special place would be here forever, as she often said. She believed deeply that this would be a place for future generations to find respite from a highly urbanized lifestyle and to enjoy the splendor of nature in its undisturbed beauty. This is only possible through the generous support from friends like you.

This Giving Tuesday, we ask that you consider a contribution towards the preservation of this greenspace. Your gift will help to offset the costs associated with quality land management -- maintaining more than a dozen acres of Piedmont pocket prairies including the endangered Schweinitz sunflower, promoting growth of native species in our oak hickory hardwood forests, managing more than a half dozen ponds to protect aquatic habitats and curb harmful algae blooms, stewarding several miles of Steele Creek watershed, mitigating erosion and sediment loading by employing best management practices and innovative techniques to preserve and promote our natural habitats.
