In the spirit of truth and service, Bison Express would love your partnership in working to purchase Mercedes Benz Sprinter Vans to transport Howard Student-Athletes and Coaches. These vans will enable HU Student-Athletes to continue to compete at the highest levels and make themselves and the university proud. Given the successes of our intercollegiate sports teams, this investment is warranted.

After conversations with the athletic department and the coaches, we've found that local, ground transportation has cropped up as a need for Howard athletics. Coaches and Students are having a difficult time finding accommodations to get to and from practices, training sessions, and competitions. The present fleet has reached its mechanical limits.

Bison Express is assisting Howard University Athletic Department to acquire three Passenger Vans for our student-athletes. The Howard Athletics Department will benefit greatly from the purchase of three (3) 15-passenger vans to transport 150 student-athletes at various times during the seasons.

The goal is to raise $300,000.00 to secure the passenger vans with an extended warranty to transport our student-athletes to practice and game competitions.

Below is a list of transportation needs the coaches have identified throughout the Athletics department:

Tennis - Transportation to Fall tournaments and Spring dual matches and to the Washington Tennis Education Foundation for Fall and Spring practices

Bowling -Transportation to and from practice and scheduled competitions

Track & Field/XC - Transportation to offsite practices during the winter and fall semester

Lacrosse and Men's & Women's Soccer - Transportation to local exhibitions games

Softball - Transportation to offsite practices and home competitions in Southeast DC.

Golf - Transportation to practice and tournaments.

More specifically the teams will reallocate the money for rental vehicles to the following;

Allocate additional funds for recruiting, purchasing additional equipment necessary to foster high performance- recovery products/items, nutritional supplements, shoes, and film analysis equipment, etc.
