Too many of our Iron Range residents are struggling in housing that is expensive, inadequate and unhealthy. With the added challenges of the pandemic in our community, low income families who are spending too much of their income on inadequate and many times unhealthy housing situations are struggling.
Join us in making a difference! By working together to raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity's efforts we are giving our neighbors in need a true hand up out of substandard housing and helping them break the cycle of poverty. Habitat partner families work with volunteers to build their affordable homes and then purchase them with Habitat's affordable mortgage. Mortgage payments then come back to our local North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity program and are reinvested to build more homes. With your help, this cycle of hope has continued since 1995 and has been effective in serving 100 families on the Iron Range with affordable homes.
Families like Ethan and Brittany's, pictured above, have reached out to tell us how relieved and happy they are that their families are in safe and healthy homes. They are paying their mortgages and thriving in their homes even with the current pandemic challenges. Your joining with our wonderful communities' support through donations of time, talent and treasure are making all the difference.
With your help we are bringing our Iron Range communities closer to our vision of having a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Thank you!
