This is an extraordinary and unprecedented time in our community. Suddenly, we are all facing hardships and challenges that we have never been confronted with before. But many of Beech Brooks clients are already living in deep poverty, and many others, who have been living on the edge of disaster, have either lost jobs or now face the imminent prospect of unemployment. Their ability to recover from this emergency and to preserve the welfare of their families is at great risk.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Beech Brooks direct service staff is continuing to reach out and work with clients through whatever means they safely can. And Beech Brook has continued to pay both our full-time and part-time staff because we understand that the services we provide are critical to the safety and stability of the most vulnerable children and families. More than ever, the therapy and support our staff members offer, whether by phone, Skype, Facetime or however they can, is the lifeline these families desperately need.

Thats why, at this time, weve created a Hearts of Hope Fund, and were asking for your help. Proceeds will support the basic needs of our clients through cash payments and gift cards for food, medications, clothing and other immediate needs. The Fund will also help our direct service staff continue to do their essential work in the community.

It is this measure of hope that we all hold in our hearts that will get us through this crisis. We hope you'll help us provide that hope to those who most need it now by contributing to our Hearts of Hope Fund.

As part of the CARES ACT of 2020, up to $300 in annual charitable contributions is now deductible per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). This is available only to people who take the standard deduction (for taxpayers who do not itemize their deductions).
