Charles Pumklin was a dedicated Physician's Assistant in Hurley Medical Center's Emergency Department. He was known for his passion of making a difference in people's lives by taking care of patients and his "Hurley family". He unexpectedly passed away on February 2, 2022 leaving his team saddened and wanting to honor his legacy.
To honor his legacy, Hurley Medical Center's Emergency Department GRID Workroom will be named after Charles. Donations in memory of Charles Pumklin will be designated to the Emergency Services Endowment as an enduring tribute to his service. Donors who give over $250, will be listed on an Emergency Services Endowment Donor Wall and will receive a limited edition copy of our new publication, "Hurley Medical Center - The Beacon on the Hill: History of Clinical Excellence and Service to People, 1905-2020".
The purpose of the Emergency Services Endowment is to provide patient and staff program education, equipment, and patient care. For those of you new to the workings of an Endowment, these donations are invested and the interest earned will be added to the Emergency Services fund to provide equipment, staff education, and items to support patient care. This allows your donation to continuously make an everlasting difference.
