In Memory of Floyd LeBlanc

(1959-2021)
Our dear friend, Floyd LeBlanc left behind an outstanding 18-year legacy of service to the YMCA of Greater Houston. He gave of his time and talent through his service to the YMCA of Greater Houston Association Board (2016-2021). Floyd served as a member of the Financial Development Committee from 2016-2021 and served as the YMCA Annual Campaign Chair for the 2019 Better Us Campaign, 2020 Respond and Reinvent Campaign, and began heading up 2021 Be The Change Campaign before his untimely passing in February. As a special friend to the West Orem YMCA, it should come as no surprise to anyone who knew him, that Floyd was awarded the West Orem YMCA Volunteer of the Year in 2012.
Outside of the YMCA, Floyd served many Houston area organizations and was instrumental in fundraising and friend-raising for many worthy causes in the Houston area. The YMCA of Greater Houston is forever grateful to Floyd for his faith, leadership, compassion, humility, and integrity that he shared with us at the Y.
Floyd and his wife, Deborah felt called upon to create the Aubrey Pitts, Jr. Endowment Fund in 2006 after the tragic passing of Deborah's brother, Aubrey, from accidental drowning. It was their goal to ensure that other children developed the skills and tools to ensure they are safe in and around any type of water.
To honor Floyd's legacy, we ask that you consider making a gift to his family's named endowment fund so that we can ensure that Floyd's wish to provide swimming safety lives on.
