Natalie has a rare form of epilepsy that can leave her frozen in space and in danger. Her seizures have been so unpredictable and silent that she always had to have someone attentive nearby. That was before she received Dexter, her Little Angels Service Dog. He is trained to alert her when she is about to have a seizure so she can get to safety. Dexter can also dial a dog phone for help and retrieve a pouch with items Natalie needs.

"People with epilepsy often have this constant cloud over their head or worry in the back of their mind of when the next seizure will happen," says Natalie. 'I don't need to have that anymore and its very freeing."
