On July 28, 2022, beloved husband, father, and friend Mike Carlson passed away. Mike spent his career working to benefit communities in Contra Costa, and his larger-than-life personality helped to create a network of people who he inspired and in turn was inspired by. Creating connections between community and creek was one aspect of his legacy, and during his tenure at Contra Costa County Public Works Department the non-profit Urban Tilth was a community organization that he enthusiastically supported.

His family appreciates the outpouring of support they have received from friends, family, colleagues, and the public during this difficult time. They respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, please contribute to the memorial fund that has been set up to continue his legacy.
