The Emporia State University Foundation was established in 1952 as an independent, nonprofit corporation that exists to support ESU. The Foundation raises, receives, manages, invests, distributes and stewards private resources in support of the university’s mission in scholarship and programs.

Story

We are a professional business leadership organization where students continually develop skills to become the best they can be, both professionally and academically. We have professional development, speaking events, continual learning activities, as well as academic goals to win competitions, both at the state and national level. We have 12 active members and 4 more who participate but do not compete.

By attending the National Convention in Chicago, we will bring notoriety to the university, as well as boast the resumes of our competing students. The national competition will allow the students to network, build their confidence and learn new skills all while being in a new environment. We have attended a Leadership Conference in Omaha, attended State using our ASG funds for those events. Attending Nationals will be the first major event some of these students have attended since the COVID pandemic travel and conference fees are the main need for this project.
