With the holidays around the corner, isnt it time to start looking for that unique gift for that certain doctor in your life? This fall, Dr. Uhlman, MD graciously gifted the Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO) club his 130+ doctor figurine collection he has been acquiring over the past 40 years in hopes of benefitting the club with its winter fundraiser. Dr. Uhlman, MD graduated from Roy J Lucille A Caver College of Medicine at University of Iowa Medical school in 1981 and just retired in September from practicing Urology here in the Yakima area and continues teaching here at PNWU.

With your donation of $40.00 you will receive a mystery bag of 3 Doctor Figurines OR $50.00 for 5 Doctor Figurines each ranging in value from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. This fundraiser will run until December 09, 2020. The gift can be picked up locally from Student Affairs or a club member or delivered at no additional cost to those out of state.

Our club relies on funds raised during that fundraiser to provide scholarships to students in need of assistance in attending the pinnacle of all OPP/OMT teaching, Convocation, as well as housing for any student who attends. Convocation is a national conference held annually by the American Academy of Osteopathy where the great minds of Osteopathy come together to teach the up-and-coming future Doctors of Osteopathy their skills and impart their wisdom upon the future generation. As an attendee, I can say this experience is an invaluable addition to our education and to our development as future providers, and I am excited to pass on the opportunity of affordable attendance to future students with your help.
