Story

Winter is particularly harsh for those experiencing homelessness. At The Sophia Way, our caring professional staff provides a safe environment for women to sleep with blankets to keep warm, a hot dinner to nourish their tired bodies, and toiletries to refresh.

At our emergency shelter, the women find safety, warmth and comfort . Our goal is to ensure no woman spends a night outside this winter. And, you can help us do that!

This December, ask 31 friends to give the gift of $31 each.

$31 gives one woman experiencing homelessness a warm safe night of shelter with dinner. If you and your friends give to this campaign, together you will have donated $961! That's one night of shelter for 31 women!

About the charity

The Sophia Way is committed to ending homelessness for women in East King County. The organization began in 2008 in response to a critical need – no shelter existed for women on the Eastside. Since we opened our doors, more than 4,000 women have sought shelter, comfort, and support, and we have been able to help many of them move into their own home.
