Story
Together, we will create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. By supporting Make-A-Wish UK in 2019 we will be in a position to grant wishes like Georges.
Four-year-old George lives in Warwickshire with his mum. He is diagnosed with Batten disease, a rare and fatal form of childhood dementia.
George is a mini-thrill-seeker and successful campaigner, having ridden in helicopters and starred in posters in Westminster calling on ministers for greater awareness of his condition. He loves school, getting muddy outdoors, and getting into mischief.
George wished to go toboggoning. George's wish was granted and he went toboggoning in Austria with his mum who said
"For the first time in over a year my son spoke, and I was delighted. I think it was a result of all of his senses firing at once from the excitement. It was such a magical moment that I will never forget, and the wish brought that out of him.'

In 2019 we'll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon, the London Marathon, the Brighton Marathon , Ride London and the Great North Run so we can help grant even more wishes.
