Montclair Bikery will hold its 9th Annual Turkey Ride Sunday, November 21, to collect turkeys for the Human Needs Food Pantry. In 2021, the Pantry greatly expanded the town served in Essex County from 16 to 22, so this years drive needs to be bigger than ever. The Pantry has provided food to over 2,000 households this year. Lets make this holiday a special one for everyone in our community!

The 15 mile bike ride will take place Sunday morning, November 21, 2021 at 10 am. Registration opens at 9 am. Pre-registration is highly encouraged here: Turkey Ride Registration

The Turkey Ride will leave from the Montclair Bikery (148 Valley Road, Montclair). Cyclists will ride a circular route from there to the Brookdale Shoprite (1409 Broad Street, Bloomfield). Riders will buy a frozen turkey, and then carry it in their backpacks to the Human Needs Food Pantry (9 Label Street, Montclair) for drop off. For those who want to buy more than one turkey, there are vans that will take the extras back to the Pantry. A festive thank you party for the Turkey Ride participants takes place at Egans restaurant next to the Pantry after the turkeys are dropped off.

Anyone 13 years or older can participate in the Turkey Ride. Bicycles, tandems, electric bikes and unicycles are all allowed!

This fundraising page allows anyone to donate to the event. All proceeds will be used to purchase turkeys and all of the necessary side dishes for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. A $20 donation funds one turkey, $40 donation funds two turkeys, and a $60 donation funds three turkeys! Our goal is to collect 600 turkeys this year!

Not riding but have a turkey to donate?

Community members can drop off frozen turkeys at the Human Needs Food Pantry on Sunday, November 21st. We are also collecting other Thanksgiving foods, including instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pie crust mix and filling!
