Gifts to the Spartan Student Emergency Fund help USC Upstate students when they need it most.
The Spartan Student Emergency Fund was created to assist students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency or catastrophic event which would otherwise prevent them from continuing their education at USC Upstate.
Students can apply for funding to help with such needs as:
Medications and other costs related to emergency medical care.
Books and other essential academic expenses.
Replacement of essential personal belongings or temporary housing needs due to fire, theft, natural disaster or pandemic.
Travel costs related to a death or illness in the immediate family.
Emergency expenses related to dependents (e.g., childcare).
Essential utilities.
