Story
Rebuilding Broken Lives
The Way Back Inn presents the Rebuilder of the Year Award to Michael A. Corrigan, Proviso Township Supervisor. Thank you, Commissioner Corrigan, and the Proviso Township Mental Health Commission for all the work that you do for the community in supporting mental health and addiction services. You continue to help further our mission to rebuild lives damaged by addiction in a personalized healing environment.
We would like to express our most sincere gratitude and a big THANK YOU to all of the generous people who gave on #GivingTuesday, a worldwide celebration of #generosity, #kindness, and #togetherness. The sentiments, stories, and testimonies we received warmed our hearts. The financial contributions will support intensive treatment and sober supportive housing for clients as they rebuild their broken lives.
Thanks to your generosity and passion for our mission, we have surpassed our $25,000 goal!
This year, in lieu of our annual Rebuilders Dinner, we focused our fundraising efforts on #GivingTuesday, December 1st. While were unable to convene in person this year, we are exceedingly grateful for all of the support we received to help achieve our vision to create a world where broken lives are transformed one day at a time.
In the spirit of love for our organization, many supporters of our Annual Rebuilders Dinner had already agreed to sponsor the gala. We would like to recognize them below. Without their support, we'd be lost.
We would like to publicly thank the following Sponsors for their support:
Substance and gambling use are on the rise as people attempt to cope with new stresses associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Those in recovery are particularly vulnerable as isolation, hopelessness, fear, and economic insecurity pose as triggers for relapse. Substance misuse, overdoses, and suicides continue to rise during this time.
The counselors at the Way Back Inn are here to help from the comfort of your home. Early Intervention and Family Group & Psychoeducation teletherapy is available. Help is available for families struggling with substance and gambling use. Recovery is possible!
