Story
With over 33 years of service, Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (YSU) remains the premier center for TCM education and integrative healthcare in the U.S., offering a fully accredited Master's Degree Program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as postgraduate specialty Doctorate Degrees in Women's Health & Reproductive Medicine and Healthy Aging & Longevity Medicine.
As a non-profit organization, Yo San University relies on the generosity and vision of donors to meet our financial goals. Annual fundraising events allow us to continue offering high quality TCM education to our students and affordable integrative healthcare services to the community. This year, as we emerge from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal is to raise $50,000 of your support through this campaign.
In addition to our academic programs, Yo San Universitys on-campus Blount Community Clinic provides exceptional, low-cost acupuncture care and TCM services to the local community. We are proud to make the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine accessible to people of all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. In addition to our general Acupuncture Clinic, we provide specialty care in Acupuncture Orthopedics, Addiction Recovery, Healthy Aging, and Reproductive Medicine.
Yo San University brings the benefits of TCM and integrative care deeper into the community through clinical outreach programs. Offered in collaboration with our clinical externship partners, these programs allow us to reach the low-income and underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. Since the year 2000, our clinical outreach programs have provided over 220,000 free or low-cost acupuncture treatments to the local community. Our current clinical partnerships include Being Alive Los Angeles, The LAC+USC Wellness Center in Boyle Heights, Venice Family Clinic, and Wise & Healthy Aging in Santa Monica.
Looking toward the future, Yo San University is building upon the concepts, methods, and successes of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that have developed over centuries. The Universitys founders represent a rare, unbroken 38-generation lineage of healers practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Taoist principles of harmony and balance are understood to be the foundation of our physical, mental, emotional, and psychological well-being. Body, mind and spirit are integrally connected, and maintaining energetic balance is essential to health and wellness. Our students do not just learn and practice the medicine. They are living examples of the medicine. They Become the Medicine.
Thank you for supporting our mission.
