Every child who wants an Adventist education should be able to get one.
That is what we believe at Atholton Adventist Academy. As things around us are quickly
changing, our mission--to foster a love for God by honoring and glorifying Him in every area of
our curriculum, loving each other and our community, and looking to Jesus Christ as the source
of every good thing--does not.
Our school has no greater asset than our teachers. When it was time to switch to online
teaching, they were ready. When a student lacks the resources for an assignment, they make a
house call (at a safe distance). When students get discouraged, an encouraging note from our
teachers suddenly appears. It is our teachers who live Christ's example each day. . .This is
Atholton Adventist Academy.
Not too many years ago Tori loved being homeschooled. She was quite shy . . .
until I heard about Mrs. Minty. I heard about and saw the fun things she was doing in her
class, and I begged my parents to send me to school, just so I could be in her classroom. I would
spend the next seven years at AAA. . .several teachers saw my talent for mathematics. . .and
instilled in me a desire to keep wanting to know more. In 2020, I'll complete a Ph.D. in
mathematics from Baylor, and Atholton's teachers helped get me here!
Mark has won Emmy awards and his works have been featured on PBS. He is also an Atholton
graduate. He credits the school which . . .
allowed me the ability to form mentoring relationships with the faculty that I maintain
to this day. As someone who went on to specialize in creative arts, Atholton created a safe
environment to explore my unique talents, build leadership skills and confidence.
We believe every student deserves these same opportunities that Tori and Mark got. We need
your help now more than ever. We don't want to turn any student away. This year we need to
raise $25,000 by August 1 and an additional $25,000 by December 31 so that every child that
wants an Adventist education can have one.
We invite you to prayerfully consider supporting our students in their journey.
