The Asian, Desi, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and North African (ADPI-MENA) Center is a student-run organization that provides academic and social support to students of Asian descent. After decades of advocacy work, ADPI-MENA is a step closer to becoming a permanent culture center at Cal Poly Humboldt, providing students with a space to study, share their cultural heritage, and develop meaningful connections.
ADPI-MENA center has been hosting hundreds of social, educational, and cultural programs open to students, staff, faculty, and community members. These programs provide a break from their daily routines and allow them to learn about Asian cultural heritage through history, holiday celebrations, cuisines, traditional dance, and more. We have also been sending students to conferences to support their leadership development and academic journey.
ADPI-MENA Center is intended to serve, support, and affirm cultural identities while remaining open to all cultures. All students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin, who are interested in the ADPI-MENA Center are welcome. This is only made possible because of generous funding, donations, and support from volunteer students, staff, and faculty advisors. Donations will be used to build a small shared academic resource library for the center, including textbooks, calculators, basic lab equipment (e.g., lab coats, goggles, groves), printing supplies, and stationery items.
Make a gift today to support ADPI-MENA and help build resources and opportunities for students.
