Amos House will again be helping families in the Providence community have a joyful Holiday season through our Holiday Gift Program. This program is organized in a manner that gives family members a chance to create a more personal gift experience.

Instead of assigning specific families to community donors, we ask donors to make a donation to cover the costs of providing new toys and clothing for over 300 children, as well as special gifts for the men and women living in Amos Houses shelters. Funds will also be used to underwrite the cost of a holiday meal for the community.

Amos House will provide an assortment of new toys, clothing, and educational materials for children of varying ages. Families in the community will have a chance to do their own shopping for their children from among the items, thus allowing parents to choose items their children will love. Each family will be assigned a certain number of points, depending upon the number of children in their immediate care. By structuring the Holiday Gift Program in this way, the gift giving process is more personal for the parents.
