"There are not enough positive things I can say to describe how thankful I am for this scholarship. I recently have lost three family members to COVID-19, which has been extremely hard. After I finish at NLC and then continue toward my goal of becoming a nurse practitioner, I dream to save and care for someone else's grandmother, grandfather, or aunt as other health care workers cared for mine. This scholarship gives me happiness, hope and determination to continue my education."
