Story
Hello,
My name is Alexis Ellis and I am the current title holder of Ms. Elite Alberta Regional Empowerment! At the age of 42 I am a transgender model, author, co-author, and podcaster who loves to support charities close to my heart through volunteering. I also live with Cerebral Palsy and strive to break barriers and open doors for others. I am the first LGBTQ title holder for the Canada Perfect Pageant and one of the first transgenders in Canada to win an international title.
As a child, Cerebral Palsy affected my speech and grammar. For support, my family reached out to Variety- the Children's Charity of BC who funded Speech and Language therapy. I am hoping to inspire others to donate and help kids overcome some of the same challenges that I faced.
My journey into pageants came from my desire to help shine a bright light and awareness on two main areas of my life. The first is to show people who live with Cerebral Palsy, like me, that they can do anything. It can be challenging at time, but I have learned to never let it stop me from achieving my dream. The other area in my life is that I am a transgender contestant who is determined to break barriers in an often repressed cookie-cutter industry. I want others to know that our lives are not limited by the challenges that we face and that we can live a life beyond those challenges and find strength and celebration from our diversity. Pageants provide an opportunity for contestants to gain life skills, and confidence by performing in front of a large crowd and a strong sense of self-esteem. I am proud to step on stage as a disability and LGBTQ empowerment representative and want to support others to follow their dreams.
My current titles are:
Ms Canada Curvy Plus Universal Global 23
Ms Elite British Columbia Regional 23
Canada Perfect LGBTQ Woman 22
World Perfect People Choice Woman 22
I will be competing to represent Canada in Canada Perfect in April 2023 and the World Perfect Pageant in the summer of 2023.

Please join me in supporting Variety BC and to give all BC's kids with special needs a chance to thrive.
