AOTF is the nation's leading non-profit investing in new occupational therapy research and the future OT research workforce. Through our grants, awards, scholarships and events we are advancing the science of occupational therapy to improve the delivery of, and access to, high-quality care.

Story

Evidence-based practice has transformed occupational therapy and for 60 years AOTF has been at the forefront of the OT science to build critical evidence for practice. Today, AOTF is the only national non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing the science of occupational therapy, building evidence in demand and supporting OTPs throughout their careers.

Each year the St. Catherine Challenge brings schools, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends together to support the unique AOTF Intervention Research Grant program, which fills a critical gap in OT research, the lack of significant funding for early-stage research. Since 2014 this grant program has helped new and novel ideas take shape and has been instrumental in building new evidence in over 2 dozen different areas of practice.

By supporting early-stage research, you are investing in the future of OT, strengthening profession and helping OTPs deliver high quality care to clients and caregivers.
