Evidence-based practice has transformed occupational therapy and for 62 years AOTF has been at the forefront of the effort to build critical evidence for practice through OT research. Today, AOTF is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the science of occupational therapy, investing in both the people and projects that are strengtheing our profession and supporting OTPs throughout their careers.

Each year the St. Catherine Challenge brings together schools, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends to show thier support for OT science and help make an impact on the next round of research grants.

This fundraising specifically supports the unique AOTF Intervention Research Grant program, (IRG) which provides significant funding for early-stage research. Since 2014 this grant program has helped new and novel ideas take shape and has been instrumental in building new evidence in over 2 dozen different areas of practice.
