Cal Poly Humboldt students enjoy an extraordinary college experience, taking small classes taught by professors who know them by name. They live and learn in one of the world's most beautiful places—near ancient redwood forests, mountains and beaches.

Story

The Cultural Resources Facility (CRF) Career Pathway in Archaeology paid internship pilot program has proven highly successful. It started with three students and now serves 19 students per semester. Demand has exceeded capacity, and internships are currently scheduled one semester out.

Cooperative agreements with both agency and private Cultural Resource Management firms have been established to train high-quality archaeologists. The archaeological industry is experiencing a lack of qualified archaeologists, creating a demand for program graduates. The agency and private industry partners are placing all successful participants upon graduation. Funding is needed to continue and grow the program permanently.
