Story

The Hero Beyond the Badge: Honoring Brittney Arthur’s Legacy

Dallas Police Officer Joshua Arthur (#12132) has dedicated his life to protecting our city, running toward danger to keep Dallas safe. But for over a decade, the most profound battle of his life was fought at home, alongside his wife, Brittney—a woman whose strength, faith, and resilience mirrored his own.

A Decade of Defiance and a Miracle Found

Brittney’s journey began in 2011 with a diagnosis of brain cancer. She endured surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation with a grace that inspired everyone around her. For over ten years, her tumor remained dormant—a testament to her warrior spirit.

In 2023, that spirit was rewarded with a miracle. After years of hoping and fighting, Joshua and Brittney were blessed with their child. This baby was more than just a new life; they were a symbol of victory and the bright future the Arthurs had fought so hard to secure.

The Final Battle

Tragically, the fight returned during Brittney’s pregnancy. Over the last two years, she faced repeated, grueling rounds of treatment as the tumor reactivated. Even as the illness stolen her mobility and tested her body, Brittney never stopped fighting for her family.

It is with profound heartbreak that we share that Brittney has passed away.

Brittney fought with everything she had until the very end. She was a devoted wife, a miraculous mother, and a light that refused to be dimmed. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we stand in awe of the courage she displayed throughout her long and difficult journey.

Our Turn to Serve

Officer Arthur now faces his most difficult assignment yet: navigating a world without his partner while raising their young miracle child as a single father. The hero who has always been there for Dallas now needs Dallas to be there for him.

The focus of #ArthurFamilyStrong has now shifted from a battle for recovery to a mission of support and healing. We are rallying to ensure that Joshua has the financial breathing room to grieve and to provide a stable future for their child without the crushing weight of immediate financial pressure.

Your continued generosity will go directly toward:

Memorial and Final Expenses: Honoring Brittney’s life and legacy with the dignity she deserves.

Family Stability: Assisting with childcare, mortgage payments, and essential living costs as the family navigates this unthinkable transition.

The Future of Their Child: Ensuring their "miracle baby" is supported and cared for during this new chapter.

Please consider donating today. If you cannot give, please share Brittney’s story of strength. Let’s show the Arthur family that when our heroes face their darkest hours, their community stands with them—unwavering and #ArthurFamilyStrong.
