Story

Every day, more than 1,700 dogs and cats are killed in our nations shelters because they dont have safe places to call home. But people like you are changing that.

Best Friends is leading the no-kill movement by running lifesaving community programs for dogs and cats, providing support and training for animal shelters and rescue groups, and mobilizing community members on behalf of pets in need across the country.

When you fundraise for the animals of Best Friends, you're creating a brighter future for homeless pets. Plus, by gathering donations from your friends and family, you're helping others become involved in your lifesaving work!

With the incredible funds you raise, Best Friends will put it directly to work to save the most lives:

$25 is enough to fix a dog or cat to prevent unwanted litters

$50 is enough to fix and vaccinate a dog

$100 will help get a homeless dog or cat out of a shelter and into a forever home

$200 can provide bottle feedings and TLC for two orphaned puppies

$500 is enough to vaccinate more than 80 newborn kittens

$1,000 provides 40 dogs and cats with wellness veterinary care
