BHSU Giving Day 2023 is an opportunity for students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University to show their support. This year you have an opportunity to honor a great leader, Dr. Betty Sue McGarvey. Dr. McGarvey has been a part of the Baptist family for 48 years as a student, nurse, professor, and accomplished leader. As one of the founding members of Baptist Health Sciences University, Dr. McGarvey has served as President for the past 18 years. Her service and commitment to her alma mater has been remarkable. She is well respected by her peers, students, Baptist Memorial Health Care Leadership and her board of directors. Her commitment to the Nursing Profession and to Baptist Health Sciences University is why a scholarship fund has been established to honor her retirement and dedicated service.
