Pace Center for Girls mission to provide a brighter future for their girls continues into 2021 as they continue to adjust to the new norm with an updated version of their annual Believing in Girls luncheon. The 2021 Believing in Girls Empowerment Project features the opportunity for community partners to leave a lasting legacy for girls in our community!
Girls like Rycharra. Rycharra came to Pace's Day Program at the beginning of the pandemic with poor grades and crippling depression. Although very articulate and driven, Rycharras anxiety and depression often made it very difficult for her to improve academically or even apply for a job. However, with the consistent support and commitment of the Pace team, Rycharra has been able to improve her grades, customer service skills, confidence, and coping skills. She now has a part-time job and is working towards her high school degree.
As Rycharra and other girls return to the Center for in-person learning, we are partnering with Pace Center for Girls. Broward as they recreate and reimagine their outdoor wellness space with the Believing in Girls Empowerment Project.
Through a series of empowering art projects designed by local artists, Pace will transform their outdoor garden area for their girls. We hope you will join us in making this masterpiece come to life!
