Story
Since launching in 2023, the Birding Club has taken off. This year, the club moved to weekly meetings, connected with over 200 students, partnered with the local Audubon Society, and led two standout tripsāone offshore aboard the R/V North Wind and another to witness Greater Sage-Grouse performing their remarkable display dances.
Building on that momentum, upcoming trips include searching for Great Gray Owls in Oregon, spotting rare seabirds offshore, and experiencing the massive waterfowl migrations in the Central Valley. The goal is simple: keep these trips free or low-cost so any student can participate, regardless of budget.
With just $2,000, these experiences can reach even more students. The club runs on community supportāevery dollar truly makes a difference.
