Bishop Luers High School offers one of the premier girls’ basketball programs in Indiana. Since opening in 1958, Luers’ girls’ basketball has earned basketball success not only in Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana, but throughout all of Indiana winning state championships in 1999,2000,2001,2002,2006,2011. Prep Sports/21 Alive Basketball “Players of the Year” from Bishop Luers include: Megan Dossen, Rachel King, Stefanie Gerardot, Amanda Pedro, Markee Martin and Brierra Young. Other great Luers players include: Sara Shaefer (IHSAA Mental Attitude Award Winner), Emily Loomis, Jennie Moppert, Jessica Hathaway, Michelle Hamlin, Nancy Rehm (Indiana Hall of Fame), Angie Harris, Sara Stronczek, Amy Parrett, Kely Sandels, Janet Libbing , Kate Murphy, Marie Kaufmann, Kelsey Wyss, Brooke Ridley, Miracle Woods, Addie Reimbold, Allison Butler, Erin Butler, Mary Hathaway, Kayla Knapke, Katherine Knapke, Emma Wolfe, Lydia Reimbold, Jay Bright and Anna Parent. Many of these outstanding young women have gone on to play basketball or accomplish great things.

We are looking to expand our feeder program with new practice and game jersey. Additionally, for this upcoming Varsity and JV season we are looking to get backpacks, shooting shirts, new basketball equipment and always new uniforms needed.
Be a part of the Luers success story!
• Attend open gyms through the winter season on Sunday nights where girls are coached on the fundamentals of basketball and find the opportunity to meet other girls who like to play the game. (Information available from the coaches)
• Play for your school team.
• Practice and play as much basketball as you can.
• Come out to games to watch and learn how high school girls’ basketball is played.
