We are challenging our NEW donors! In honor of the 10th anniversary of SUNY Broome's 24 Hours of Giving, will you make your first gift of $10? Even a small donation can make such a big difference!
When SUNY Broome's supporters band together, their efforts can be incredible! Last year, during 24 Hours of Giving, donors raised $249,897 to help students in need, improve educational opportunities, and more.

1. 24 Hours of Giving is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Throughout this decade, generous donors have contributed a total of $1,359,600 to support SUNY Broome's mission. Read more.
2. When you support higher education and college students, you are helping reduce poverty. Documented data on poverty in Broome County shows that only 13% of people who have some college background live in poverty. Nationally, those with an associate degree earn 18.42% more income than those without any higher education.
3. As the Community's College, SUNY Broome is on the front lines of making a difference in the lives of ordinary people.
Knowing that approximately 87% of our students will need help paying for college, private donors helped SUNY Broome provide:
• over 350 scholarships
• nearly $1.7 million in student support in 2023-2024
• food, clothing and household items to 300 students through The Hornet Hope Center in Spring 2024.
• Student Emergency Grants (for unexpected expenses) to 598 students
• support for global service learning experiences
• professional development for faculty and staff
• classroom and campus upgrades.
