Story

The Brown City Public Library has gone through some drastic changes since it first opened in 1925. At that time a small room in Wooley's Drug Store was rented to hold the 373 books that were purchased by the Women's Club and from the Community Fund of the Red Cross. The library will have occupied six different locations since it was first established counting our new location in the Tri-County Bank Building.

Although. we are a very small library-we have some very big features for all our patrons to take advantage of. With a collection of approximately 14,000 books, hundreds of CDs and DVDs and dozens of magazine subscriptions and the latest in computer tech with fantastic internet speed. Our Michigan Electric Library is available 24/7 with millions of books ready for you to order right from your home.

Our goal is to continually improve our new space and off the best services we can to support our community.

We are here for our community and surrounding townships for all their library needs. Stop in soon to visit YOUR beautiful new library. We are here to serve you!
