Story
Cal Poly Humboldt’s new Critical Agriculture Studies & Agroecology (CASA) program is redefining what an agriculture education looks like 🌱. Students aren’t just in the classroom, they’re out in the field, working on farms, building relationships with land and community, and gaining real-world experience to shape the future of food systems 🚜.
But this kind of education comes with real, immediate needs.
CASA students spend long days outdoors through farm labs, internships, and field learning. To fully participate, they need basic gear—boots, warm coats, and essential supplies 🥾🧥. For some students, these aren’t simple purchases; they’re real barriers.
When students can’t afford the gear, they risk missing out on the very experiences that make this program transformative.
Support helps remove those barriers.
Gifts will provide essential items like boots and outerwear, fund accessible pathways on the farm, and support field trips and learning exchanges that connect students with farmers, practitioners, and community partners 🌾.
This is about more than equipment—it’s about access, belonging, and making sure every student can fully engage and succeed.
Give today to help CASA students step into the field, fully participate, and get the most out of this hands-on education 🌿.
