We have chosen to donate to Circle of Hope to help provide direct financial support to our patients in need. While the absolute monetary amounts may be small relative to the overall financial burden of cancer to our patients, the individual and collective benefits on the lives of our patients are incredibly meaningful. We would like to challenge others to donate towards this integral component of our oncology service line. - Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Waxweiler - Radiation Oncology
Cancer is one of the most expensive medical conditions to treat in the United States. Cancer patients with health insurance are paying higher premiums than in the past. They are also paying more for copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance.
COVID-19 placed an additional financial strain on cancer patients. In 2020 we provided nearly 300 patients and their families with more than $99,000 in assistance. This represents a 35% increase in need from previous years. Your gift is needed now more than ever.
Patients and their families may have the following problems because of their cancer diagnosis; less income and assets , debt due to the cost of treatment, difficulty providing housing, food or utilities for their family, or even bankruptcy.
100% of your donation to Circle of Hope reaches our patients and their families.
