Let's Go For H20!

At the inaugural CLEAN WATER CLASSIC, we will gather at 8am (required safety briefing will be held at 8:30 a.m.) and launch in stages from FRANCIS ST BEACH (next to SEA Nantucket Kayak)on NANTUCKET HARBOR, returning to our same launch point afterward.

Registrants can participate competitively or recreationally. Participants can sign up as individuals or members of a FUNDRAISING & PADDLING team to collect support for the cause.

Racing and fundraising PRIZES will be distributed, and REFRESHMENTS will be served!

This event will raise funds and awareness for the NANTUCKET LAND & WATER COUNCIL’S (NLWC’s ) WATER FUND a donor-restricted fund that supports MARINE and FRESHWATER projects on Nantucket.

PROJECTS supported by the NLWC WATER FUND include: PFAS research and education • EELGRASS monitoring and restoration • POND WATER monitoring & research • STORMWATER monitoring • ongoing ADVOCACY to PREVENT ADVERSE IMPACTS to our WATERS • EDUCATIONAL EVENTS with renowned scientists and policy-makers, and MORE!
